| J. Mark’s hosts PACE at its new location in Fort Lauderdale |
|
PACE Center for Girls Broward was recently given the unique opportunity to showcase its mission to the community while also having a chance to raise funds. Over 350 guests were invited to attend a complimentary pre-opening luncheon and dinner at J. Mark’s new location in Fort Lauderdale. While the J. Mark’s staff practiced their skills for their grand opening, the VIP guests enjoyed an array of appetizers, entrees and desserts – everything from avocado egg rolls and fried calamari to “heavenly” shrimp pasta and rib-eye steaks.
“We were delighted that the owners of J. Mark’s chose PACE as one of the beneficiaries of their pre-opening,” said Mark Snead, Chair of PACE Broward Board of Directors. “It is exciting to have local business leaders like Steven Wilson and Ariel Ayala looking for unique ways to assist non-profits and improve our community.” ![]() (l to r) PACE Ambassadors: Beth and Mark Finizio with Tonja Haddad Coleman We extend a heartfelt thank you to J. Mark’s owners, staff and customers for their contribution to the PACE program. We are equally indebted to the PACE“Ambassadors” who gave their time during the lunch and dinner service to help inform the community about how the girls of PACE are making strides to overcome their struggles and become the best that they can be. PACE Center for Girls Broward is a day prevention program providing year round academic, counseling and life skills education for girls at-risk. The PACE program is designed to meet the unique needs of adolescent girls by providing gender responsive programming to build self-esteem and confidence. PACE empowers girls to gain their education and reduce their chances of being involved in the juvenile delinquency system. For more information about J. Mark’s Restaurant and Bar on 1245 N.
