Admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States March 30 and 31, 2010
The Law Center sponsored its second biennial United States Supreme Court Admissions Ceremony on March 30 and 31. Nova Law alumni stood before the nine justices of the Court and were sworn in to the bar of highest court in the nation. Applicants who were sworn in were admitted to Bars of the states of Florida, New York, Texas, and Wyoming and were found to possess the necessary qualifications for admission.

In celebration of this event, on both days a Marshall’s full breakfast reception was held in the Supreme Court East Conference Room and on March 30, the Shepard Broad Law Center and Nova Southeastern University Alumni Association hosted “Supreme Decisions,” an evening of networking and camaraderie at the Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel. Dean Athornia Steele, Professor Bruce Rogow, and Distinguished Visiting Professor and Former Chief ABC News Correspondent at the U.S. Supreme Court Tim O’Brien spoke at the event. Professor Rogow, who has argued a number of cases before the Court, had the honor of moving the admission of our alumni into the Court. Admittees and their guests were able to hear decisions handed down by the Court as well as oral arguments before the Court.
